Vice President of Sales (HealthTech – Provider focused)
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Vice President of Sales to spearhead our growth in the healthcare technology sector. This pivotal role requires a proven leader who is not only an exceptional individual contributor, directly engaging with key clients, but also possesses the vision and capability to build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of senior sales professionals. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, “grinder” environment, driving significant revenue by targeting large enterprise and mid-tier healthcare practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front-Line Sales Leadership: Serve as a primary sales driver, directly engaging with C-suite executives and private equity board-level managing directors within target healthcare practices (50+ providers).
- Team Development & Mentorship: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of senior account executives, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Market Penetration: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to aggressively expand market share within enterprise and mid-tier healthcare provider segments.
- Complex Deal Management: Navigate and close high-value, complex sales cycles, leveraging deep understanding of client needs and solution capabilities.
- Performance Accountability: Establish and monitor KPIs for individual and team success, ensuring consistent achievement of revenue targets and business objectives.
- Market Feedback & Innovation: Act as a conduit for market feedback, collaborating with product and leadership teams to inform future solution development and market strategy.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated track record as a “killer individual contributor” in sales, with a strong history of exceeding quotas.
- Significant experience selling into healthcare practices on the provider side, with a focus on organizations with 25 or more providers.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and mentor high-performing sales teams, or clear readiness to step into such a role.
- Exceptional executive-level communication and and presentation skills, capable of influencing C-suite and board-level decision-makers.
- Experience in a growth-stage company or “grinder” environment, comfortable with hands-on sales and team building without extensive corporate overhead.
- Familiarity with long, complex sales cycles, ideally within the healthcare technology space.
- High level of motivation, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements, industry conferences, and team collaboration.
