About the Opportunity
A well-established, global insurance technology software company is seeking a proven enterprise sales hunter to join a high-performing North American sales team. This is an individual contributor role focused exclusively on new logo acquisition within the life and annuity insurance market.
The company provides core policy administration, digital transformation, and agentic AI/orchestration solutions to life, annuity, and group benefits carriers. With a robust marketing engine, significant trade show presence, and a dedicated inside sales and BDR team generating leads, the infrastructure to support a high-performing seller is firmly in place.
The Role
You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business with insurance carriers across the US market. This is a pure hunting role — once a deal is closed, it transitions to a dedicated account management team, allowing you to stay focused on winning new logos.
Sales cycles typically run 12–18 months for core transformation engagements, with shorter cycles of 6–9 months available through a targeted account strategy already in motion. Average deal sizes range from $500K–$1M in annual SaaS revenue plus services, with quota achievement requiring two to four deals annually.
Who You’ll Be Joining
You will be stepping into a team where performance is the norm, not the exception. The existing US sellers are currently tracking at 200% and 110%+ of quota respectively — with the broader North American team on pace for a strong year across the board. The sales leader is a tenured industry veteran with deep roots in the insurance software ecosystem.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–10 years of enterprise software sales experience, with meaningful exposure to the insurance vertical (life, annuity, P&C, or adjacent)
- Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex, consultative deals from origination through close
- Experience selling to C-suite and senior technology/operations buyers within insurance carriers (CIO, CTO, Head of Policy, Head of Claims)
- Ability to quarterback cross-functional deal teams including presales, solution consulting, and inside sales
- Background in any of the following is strongly advantageous: core insurance platforms, policy administration systems, digital transformation, automation, or agentic AI solutions
- Based in the Eastern or Central time zone; ability to travel as needed
- A genuine hunter mentality — you build pipeline, you don’t inherit it
