Overview:

We are seeking a technically strong and customer-focused Forward Deployed Engineer to help deploy and scale cutting-edge conversational AI solutions within enterprise life sciences environments. This role combines hands-on software engineering, AI application development, and direct customer engagement. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment, translating complex customer needs into reliable, production-ready AI applications while working closely with product, engineering, and customer teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Deployment & Implementation: Scope and manage customer deployments, identifying technical requirements, coordinating integrations, and aligning internal and customer teams on implementation plans.
• AI Application Development: Build and configure AI-powered applications using LLMs, APIs, and modern AI frameworks, moving solutions from prototypes to production-ready systems.
• Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer accounts, collaborating with business, product, engineering, IT, and end-user stakeholders.
• Infrastructure & Reliability: Manage cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, hosting, and integrations to ensure deployments are secure, reliable, and scalable.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate customer needs into technical requirements, partner with product and engineering teams on custom builds, and contribute reusable components to the platform.
• Post-Deployment Support: Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize system performance, and support customer adoption as deployments scale.
• Technical Pre-Sales: Contribute to technical presentations, RFP responses, and customer pitches while building relationships with senior technology stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Strong foundation in computer science, software engineering, AI/ML, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated ability to build and deploy production-quality software.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages, with experience in backend services, APIs, and system design.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs, generative AI applications, and modern AI frameworks.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, data integrations, and application deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to move quickly in an early-stage company.
• Experience in forward-deployed engineering, technical consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role is a plus.
• Exposure to healthcare technology or life sciences is beneficial but not required.
